Can RBMHS Help You?
If you are a minister, or a minister’s spouse, approaching retirement and are worrying about what the future holds, as far as your next home is concerned, then RBMHS would be happy to hear from you to see if it could help.
Can You Help RBMHS?
As it has done since its formation in 1975, RBMHS continues to operate by faith, looking to God and His people to enable it to meet the housing need of His faithful servants.
How Can RBMHS Help You?
RBMHS’s is a charitable body whose beneficiaries are restricted to retired Baptist ministers and BMS missionaries, together with their dependent spouses.
Ministers who have completed at least fifteen years on the Accredited list, or 18 years of service to BU Churches, and who are at retirement age without sufficient resources to provide housing for themselves meet the eligibility criteria. Additionally, it helps those who have to retire early, due to extenuating circumstances, and also the widows of those who may die whilst in service.
Within financial limits, and subject to the agreement of the Society, ministers may choose their retirement residence, which is then purchased by the Society. At the present time, it has just under 200 properties of various types around England, Scotland and Wales.
How Can You Help RBMHS?
The Society is always very grateful to those who speak about the Society’s work and encourage others support through prayer and practical means.
The Society is very grateful to receive donations and legacies from individuals and churches, and readily acknowledges those who have helped it to grow by leaving legacies, often of houses, specifically for the needs of retiring Ministers.
Without such generosity, the Society would not be able to function, and the commendation of RBMHS to churches and potential benefactors is an important aspect of our support. We are deeply grateful to all who help in this way and who enable the work of the Society to go forward. Very often, churches are glad to make a contribution as a tangible expression of thanks for the housing of a former minister.
If you feel able to help the Society, or would like someone to come and speak about its work, or would appreciate any further information, we are always pleased to hear from you.
